My Agency Scorecard - An Overview
As part of the Arizona Management System (AMS), the Government Transformation Office has implemented an enterprise approach to strategic planning and performance management across our cabinet agencies The My Agency Scorecard application is a critical component of this approach.
The application is leveraged by 35 agencies and is primarily used to track and collect monthly reporting data on 700+ metrics covering numerous aspects of state government. Multiple benefits realized from this system are highlighted below. |

Aligning Strategic Planning and Execution
- The application is used to track each agencies progress towards annual objectives identified in their strategic plan.
- Dashboards showing current progress and status of each metric provide leadership with insight into the organization's strategic health.
- Agency data is used to inform both agency and statewide strategy and budgeting activities.
Strengthening Operational Excellence
- Numerous metrics focus on quality of services provided, service delivery times and other customer facing processes.
- Underperforming metrics take advantage of a supported countermeasure process.
Building upon our Continuous Improvement Culture
- Agency Breakthroughs (priority improvement projects) are tracked monthly.
- A3 planning, Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis are all examples of the tools used to support this environment.
- Metric targets are set to improve process where possible
